The Community Mutt Strut, presented by PNC Bank and sponsored by many great companies, including the Pittsburgh Pirates, is just around the corner. This event will be held on September 16 on the Great Lawn at the North Shore from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs is excited to invite you to join us for this fantastic family event while learning about and supporting our mission to train highly skilled, medical service dogs for veterans, first responders, and civilians living with disabilities.

We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the day with their family and furry friends! With a great location, a variety of vendors, live music, and other activities to enjoy, it will be a wonderful day to bring your dog out to strut your mutt!

In addition to the Community Mutt Strut, you can continue your day of fun in Pittsburgh by purchasing a ticket to the Pirates vs. Yankees game that will be held at 6:35 pm that same evening. By purchasing a ticket here, a portion of the Pirates ticket will be donated back to Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs. In addition, you can attend a pregame happy hour at the outfield bar, and you can use your ticket at concessions or the Pirate team store for a special discount. Register in advance online by clicking here.

The Community Mutt Strut is a major fundraiser for Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs and the work they do. Pennsylvania has one of the highest concentrations of veterans in this part of the United States, so to provide more services to this area, Guardian Angels is building a new campus in this region. The blueprints and site plans are currently being completed, with groundbreaking expected this fall.

Thanks to generous donors and sponsors, the necessary funding is provided to do the training, care and support for the life of the teams for these life-saving dogs – all at no cost to the recipient. By supporting this event, you are changing a life, maybe even saving a life.
