Wanted to make a difference in the lives of Michigan Veterans. In 2016, they partnered with Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, and created their 5 Years, 5 Dogs, 5 Lives Saved program; committing to sponsoring 5 individually trained medical service dogs to assist Michigan veterans struggling with disabilities such as: PTSD, TBI, Seizure Disorders or mobility issues.
Through their amazing efforts, 2 Service Dogs have already been paired with Michigan Veterans, and 3 more are currently in training.
Armstrong One Wire took up the goal to raise enough funds to pair six Service Dogs with deserving recipients. They did this through ads on their network, individual fundraising events and even coming all the way to Florida to gather images of our facility and our dogs!
A heartfelt thank you to Fisher House Foundation and its Hero Miles program for helping bring our nation’s heroes to our campus! Through donated frequent flyer miles, Hero Miles helps ease the burden of travel, allowing recipients to attend service dog training and complete the journey toward building life-changing partnerships with their service dogs. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and commitment to making these meaningful connections possible!
