We will mark down 2022 in history and fondly remember it as the year we accomplished another great milestone for our organization and the people we serve. In addition, to changing the lives of so many people for the better, we created another supportive branch of our organization. We are so proud to have hired our first veterinarian and opened our own veterinary hospital on campus. This hospital will not only take care of the health care needs of our dogs in training but also our paired teams and employee pets as well.

I want to close out 2022 with enormous “Thank Yous” to everyone from staff members to volunteers to donors that have helped us have such a memorable and successful year. You have been an intricate part of changing and saving lives through our amazing service dogs.

As we begin 2023, we are filled with excitement as we break ground on our first campus outside of Florida. Our Pennsylvania location will be a state-of-the-art, first-of-a-kind campus to ever be built in the United States. This project will put years of planning on the map by doubling our capacity to provide more highly skilled service dogs destine to improve the lives of so many deserving people. In addition, the Borden Institute of Higher Learning will be located on this campus, providing hands-on and classroom courses in various animal careers to include service dog training, veterinary technicians, veterinary specialties, kennel management, and more. In support of these career paths, we will also open the second Borden Veterinary Hospital. This hospital is designed to not only care for our dogs in training and paired teams but will also serve the community while functioning as a teaching hospital for the students going through their chosen animal career courses.

What an exciting and very busy year we have in store for all of us here at Guardian Angels. We are looking forward to all the new career paths being created as we grow the various components to expanding our highly skilled, donated service dogs to those in need.

As they say… “it takes a village.” We are building our own village and welcome all of you to play a role in it with us in 2023.
