“My kids now have their mom back. My husband no longer has to be my caregiver.”
I served 22 years in the Army and Air Force National Guard and was paired with Doc in 2024. Before having Doc by my side, many aspects of daily life felt overwhelming or even out of reach. His support has transformed these challenges into manageable experiences, allowing me to reconnect with the world around me. He has his own way of “speaking” to me, making our connection even more special.
He has also almost entirely stopped my night terrors. Whether it’s waking me gently or comforting me during restless moments, his impact on my sleep and peace of mind is nothing short of life-changing. With Doc’s help, I’ve accomplished things I never thought I’d be able to do again. One of the most significant moments was driving a car myself after many years. I also flew solo—a daunting experience made manageable and even empowering with Doc. These achievements have reminded me of my resilience and opened up possibilities I once thought out of reach.
