After 20 years of serving in uniform, I purposely turned my career to banking. I felt confident that I could leverage my financial and resource management experience, leadership skills, and education into an entirely new career – all of which proved to be a great foundation for overcoming the challenges, as well as seizing opportunities, associated with a move to the private sector.
Displaying drive, initiative and a can-do attitude, I pursued ambitious goals to round out my professional banking experiences – resulting in a unique set of skills from risk management, corporate banking, regulatory affairs, and government relations – that enables me to provide in-depth insight that goes beyond the experience on paper.
I draw energy from the engagement that government relations involves – people, politics, and relationships – and have been recognized for my “unparalleled work ethic” and integrity – even during stressful times.
Considered a “natural leader”, I actively advise and mentor other transitioning veterans as they cross the cultural divide between the military and private sector. As Chair of PNC’s Military Advisory Council, I contribute to the company’s efforts to recruit, hire, and retain some of our nation’s finest.
